Ren Tatewaki (帯刀 蓮, Tatewaki Ren) is a playable character in the Phantom Breaker series. One of the few males in this contest, he is fighting to cure his little sister of an incurable disease. He fights with a gauntlet named Koutarou.
Story[]
Ren basically had to raise himself because both of his parents were working all the time. Ever since they were little, Ren has had to take care of his little sister Ryo who is sick with terminal illness. As a result, Ren can sometimes be a bit overprotective and is often hindered by worries. He met Phantom while searching for a cure for Ryo, and agreed to become a duelist in order to save his sister.

Ren has blue short hair, black sleeveless shirt and blue sleeveless jacket and wears blue pants and blue boots mixed with a few black belts.

- The name Ren means "lotus, water lily" (蓮).
- Ren's surname Tatewaki means "sword" (帯刀).
